"So we'll have to say good-bye for the summer..."
Sunday was an odd day. I woke up a bit later I think than the other
days. I managed to drag myself downstairs to find that I wasn't going
to have a ride to the disc golf. Almost everyone ended up out there
except for me and a handful of others. Greydragon was supposed to
show up but having spent WAY too much time with us "reekos" the night
before, he had overslept. LOL He will be teased for that for a while
I think. *grins*
After a bit we were finally off to disc golf but by then most people
were WAY into the game. I didn't even want to play by then. I was
tired, a little irritated for being there late, but happy to be
out there. I ended up doing more exploring than anything else.
There were some kids there from the boards with their Mother... not sure which
boards but she and I ended up walking around after Sepdet
and I separated to do our own little bits of wandering around.
I took lots of pics of the trees (the bark of some was like
a puzzle in design) and the river was absolutely breath taking.
Plus it was raining a nice cool drizzly rain. Wasn't that awful
depressing rain you get here in the south but a nice cooling
bit of showers that make you happy for the change in weather.
I even had a bit of a deja vu moment. I felt for a moment I
had been here before. The whole place seemed to call to me
as if I were home. I really enjoyed looking around the
forest and seeing all the beautiful highlighter yellow, orange
and green mosses. The orange ones were really nice and had
this odd kind of Chandelier look to them with little extensions
that had balls at the end. I think they're saphrodytic plants
but I'm not certain.
We had another "drewish" moment where Sepdet and Pebble seemed
to have vanished but they had gone with that nice woman I mentioned
above. I wish I knew her name cause she was such a nice person and
fun to chat with.
We ended up going back to the hotel for the stragglers and some
good-byes and then back out to eat at a Denny's like place called
"sharis." By now we had found Greydragon and he joined us. Sharis had the most DELICIOUS dill salmon dish. I mean I
would never think a place like that would have anything that
tasted THAT good. It was an really excellent!
Since those of us who stayed wanted Mysterium to continue, we
ended up going to the Northpoint Mall enmass to see "Pirates of
the Caribbean." It was nice. We wandered around in our little
groups and some people shopped for gifts for others. If I hadn't
been so exhausted I would have love the movie... it was just nice
to be sitting down for a long period of time in a cool place. :)
Sepdet, Don and I were sitting in the row with the railing so we
could put up our feets. We had some good chats about stuff like
Star Trek and other things. :)
At the end of the evening everyone scattered and Mushee, Scraper, me and
Chronomancer all hiked around the mall to the car. Mushee was going to
leave and drive home that night. WE ended up back at the hotel where she
picked up here stuff and everyone said their good-byes to her. Then it
was just a few of us... Scraper and Greydragon left and I believe it was mostly
just SR388, Pebble, Alahmnat, Oscy and her mother (who was cool), Chronomancer,
Lord Hydronium, TK, Rium and myself. I could be forgetting people but at
this point I think we were all rather exhausted... oh yeah and Marcel. He sat
in the back with me before we all moved the chairs together. We took over
the front lobby and RChan (whom I realize I forgot) was sleeping on SR's
pack and Oscy was braiding RC's hair. I think lonely may have been there
too. I'm so forgetful. I was really really tired that night. We all ended up
crashing around 230 am.
