"Leaving on a jet plane..."
I spent the entire day before resting up, last minute packing,
and pretty much just getting myself psyched for the plane trip.
I didn't know how good or bad the trip up was going to be and I had
many different emotions running around in my head:
fear... elation... nervousness ...happiness ...concern
I was worried about how to fit things I wanted to take in my bags...
If I had enough bags for all the stuff I was taking... If I was going
to get pulled over at security... If I was going to be able to find a
cheap cab at the airport... catch all my connections... get to my hotel
on time... If my paycheck would go through in time... etc etc...
WHEW!
I ended up staying up and getting out of the apt and out to the airport
after 4 am. Had to wait about an hour before they let us board and such
and carrying my duffle bag was a pain. Plus I had my new purse all packed
tight and it was a good 10 lbs I think. But I managed to
get through everything with flying colors and get on the plane. I really
liked the Seattle airport... they had a cool train system to get you
around the terminals.
I made all my connections with very few problems. I think the only time I
bought any food was in Seattle... I was disappointed to find my "breakfast"
they listed on one of the planes was nothing more than a drink with a
breakfast bar. Talk about YUCK! Specially since I'd only had a breakfast
bar and nothing else before that for the entire morning. Ended up buying
this uberly expensive bagel sandwich (which was actually not that bad)
and a soda. I was starving by then so anything would have been good.
Plane trip to Spokane from Seattle was short. I couldn't see much of anything
most of the trip due to clouds and such but I did get a few shots of things
from the sky.

Once I was in Spokane, I managed to get a cab (not realizing the hotel has a
shuttle) and spent just under $30 for a trip to the hotel. The cabby was really
nice and if I'd been richer, I'd have given him a better tip. :/ I managed
to get to the hotel just after 3 pm I think and got checked in. I didn't see
anyone that looked like they were with Mysterium so I went up and rested and
took a rinse. Around 430 or so I went down to check out the lobby and came
across a small group of Mysterium-ites. :) I saw lonely first then Moleculo
I believe. There were about 10 or so of us but they had all eaten. I coerced
them to join me across the street at Subway. It was like I had my own entourage.
*grins* The only exciting thing was the stupid woman in the small car who almost
ran one of us over. Everyone stopped but her cause she had her lips flapping and
was turned to view her passenger rather than the road. We survived, got back to
the hotel (several references to Frogger) and met up with Khatie and a lot of the
others who'd just shown up. We ended up walking over to the Red Robin which apparently
was right across the street too. I had my subway subs and hadn't even touched them
yet. I took my food into the Red Robin and they were nice and let me eat it there. Our
waitress asked why we were there and when we mentioned Myst she said: "My friend's dad
made that game!" and walked off. :)

We ended up back at the hotel, hung out to all hours and prepared for the next day.
I kept getting bombarded with questions about things I had NO idea about. LOL But all
was good and I got to meet alot of nice people. Rium was there aswell and Moleculo
played his mandolin to entertain us. It was a great evening! :)
